About Us

Engage Every Generation is a ministry that seeks to engage people from every generation with the gospel. In addition to engaging students, men, and leaders, look forward to future efforts to engage parents, women, and members of other generations with the gospel. We want to engage every generation and equip Christ-followers to do the same!

Tim and Angela McKnight

Tim McKnight is the founder and President of McKnight Ministries©, the nonprofit parent of Engage Every Generation. He is an Associate Professor of Missions and Youth Ministry and Director of the Great Commission Center at Anderson University. Tim is on the speaking team for Clayton King Ministries. Also, lead pastor and planter of a new church plant, Mosaic Church of Anderson. Tim is also the author of No Better Gospel (2017), Engaging Generation Z (Kregel 2021), and editor of Navigating Youth Ministry (B&H Academic 2022).

Tim started ministry in 1991 and has served churches in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and lead pastor. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Bluefield College, and a M.Div. and Ph.D. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His primary field of study for the Ph.D. was in evangelism, with additional studies in missions and church history. His dissertation was The Theology and Methodology of Evangelism of George Whitfield.

He served as a US Army Chaplain in the Kentucky Army National Guard, deploying on Operation Noble Eagle (2001) and Operation Enduring Freedom (2002). He is a recipient of the Kentucky Army National Guard Distinguished Service Medal.

He is a husband to Angela, father to Micah, Noah, Karissa, and MaryAnna. The most important thing he would want you to know about himself is that he is a follower of Jesus Christ.

Angela McKnight has been in Christian ministry for almost 30 years, serving in various capacities in worship ministry, women’s ministry, and as a pastor’s wife. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from Toccoa Falls College and a Master’s degree in Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in 21st Century Ministry from the Clamp Divinity School at Anderson University. She and her husband, Tim, met in seminary and have been serving together in ministry ever since.

Her greatest joys are serving her family at home and serving in the local body of Christ along with them. She is the mother of four grown children, whom she had the privilege of homeschooling through high school graduation. Three of them are now college graduates and one is beginning college. In addition to homeschooling, she is a private piano instructor and currently serves as the Minister of Worship at Mosaic Church of Anderson, a new multi-ethnic, multi-generational church plant. She is also Vice President of Engage Every Generation, a ministry that seeks to reach people from every generation with the hope of the gospel.

Testimonies

“Tim McKnight passionately and clearly preaches the word of God without compromise. Our congregation has always enjoyed having Tim fill the pulpit when our Pastor was out or on a special occasion.”

“Tim McKnight brings biblical depth in accessible ways in both his preaching and writing. His book, Engaging Generation Z, has been a helpful resource for me as a pastor to help connect with my own teens and to guide other families in the church with their teens. I am thankful for his kingdom work.”

- Jeff Smoak, Pastor, Bishop Branch Baptist Church
